So, I’m driving my brother to the train station the other day. On the way, he mentions it’d be nice to hit a Starbucks if we see one. We don’t.
But when we get to the station, it’s covered in tarps and surrounded by a construction fence. Seems there was a little fire a while back. No problem. We check out the portable that the train company has obviously put in temporarily. It’s just an empty waiting room.
So, standing next to the tracks, listening to not much at all, and hoping a train comes around the corner soon, you gotta love what happens next!
Two young women pushing a coffee cart and looking a little lost enter the parking lot. They struggle up the hill, and my bro and I stare at them like their a mirage. This just CAN’T be…
Well, it is. It’s the first day the little coffee shop down the hill decided to try to make some extra money by offering portable service to the train people! Bro and I were blown away by the coincidence!
So, two coffees and one muffin (and $7!) later, the little day liner chugged around the corner, and bro got on.
Thank you oh all powerful Noodly One!!
